Norma Jean McPherson

Mrs. Norma Jean McPherson, age 86, of Benton died Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was born on February 22, 1926 in Saline County. Norma Jean was a longtime member of Kentucky Missionary Baptist Church and talented seamstress, with every little girl in the family having beautiful dresses that she made. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl E. and Dona Bradbury Smith, husband of 64 years, Raymond McPherson, brother, Jackie F. Smith and sister, Josephine Richmond. Survivors, daughter, Darlene Horne and husband, Carl of Benton, granddaughters, Carla Batchelor and husband, Phillip , Kathy Duncan and husband, Ben of Benton, six great grandchildren, Emily Kosters, Hannah Batchelor, Mataya Duncan, Atalya Duncan, Sam Duncan, and Brody Ray Duncan all of Benton, sister, Melba Harris of Benton and brother, Kenneth Smith and wife, Sandra of Portland, Texas as well as many wonderful family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Kentucky Missionary Baptist Church. Ministers will be Rev. Carl Horne, Rev.
