Catherine Cahill Ponder

Catherine Cahill Ponder, 89, passed away on May 14, 2012 in Sugarland, Texas. Catherine was born on February 14, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to her parents, Stephen and Jacqueline Cahill. She graduated from Little Rock High School; she began college at Hendrix College and on to The University of Arkansas and graduated with a B.S. in Math. Catherine was a teacher for many years. She is predeceased in death by her parents, husband; Thomas C. Ponder, son; Harry Lee Ponder; daughter in law, Cynthia and sister in law, Joyce Pattison Dunn. She is survived by her sons; Thomas C. Ponder Jr. and wife Audra and Stephen Ponder and wife Becky; grandchildren, Jerry M. Ponder, Jennifer Ponder Parr, Stephenie Ponder Smith and Shelby Ponder Songy; great-grandchildren; Joshua, Savannah, Stephen, Jack, Evelyn, Luke and nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 noon -1 p.m. and Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
