J.B. Whitley, 69, of Little Rock, departed this life May 12, 2012. Preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Williams-Smith; father, J.B. Whitley; mother, Lilly Butler-Young; sisters, Johnetta Hobbs and Rose Young. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Vickie Whitley; children, Lakesha, Lamesha, Jerald (Bridgette), Bryan (Kim), J.B. III, and Kornelius Whitley, Dena Davis, Latrice and Angela Williams; siblings, Deborah Star, Laverne Matthews, Sally Mitchell and Anne Delores Butler-Marshall; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; family and friends. Family hour: 6-7 p.m., Friday and Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, both to be held at Holy Cross Baptist Church, Pastor William Easter, officiating.
