Billie Louise Johnson, 85, of North Little Rock, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was born December 7, 1926 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late William C. and Edna Robinson Smith and was a 1944 graduate of North Little Rock High School. A member of Baring Cross Baptist Church of Sherwood, she was a caregiver to many who loved her. She worked as a sales clerk at Thelma's Dress Shop in Jacksonville for 20 years. Billie was a gifted artist and enjoyed creating and painting ceramics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. "Tony" Johnson, a son, Kenneth Wayne Johnson and two brothers, Bennett and Henry DeCuir. Survivors are her two sons, Larry Johnson and his wife, Patricia of North Little Rock, and Tony Johnson and his wife, Laura of Sherwood; two grandsons, Nicholas Johnson of North Little Rock and Patrick Johnson of Fayetteville; and one sister, Patsy Crowder of The Woodlands, Texas. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2012 at Baring Cross Baptist Church, 7541 Warden Rd., Sherwood, Arkansas 72120, with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. Reverends Tommy and Steve Cypert will officiate.
