Herman Curtis "Red" Laymon

Herman Curtis "Red" Laymon, age 93, of Dardanelle died Saturday, May 19 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born October 27, 1918 in Ottawa, Kansas to the late Guss Herman and Mary Effie Vanderslice Laymon. He was a WW II Navy Veteran, a carpenter and member of the First United Methodist Church in Dardanelle. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Helen Heavilin Laymon, a son James "Jim" Laymon and Karla of Dardanelle, four grandchildren, Dana, Tray, FuSha and Coree, three great-grandchildren, Faith, Destiny, Jared. Services will be Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Jim Binfer officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 6 to 7 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Grage, Mike Blankenship, Bill Dodd, Guy Freeling, Gabriel Brown and Ronny McGaugh.
