Margaret Ann Stuck Frier died Sunday, May 20th at the Presbyterian Village Nursing Home in Little Rock. She lived in Jonesboro, Arkansas prior to moving to the nursing home. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Jane and Elmer Stuck, husband Sid Frier, and daughter, Cyd Elizabeth Frier Hyari. Survivors are her daughter, Jane Frier Hankins (Randy); granddaughter Abby Kerby (Josh); grandson, Thomas Hankins; great-granddaughters Bella and Amelia Kerby; sisters, Sarah Grable and Brenda Heringer (Carl); and many nieces and nephews. Margaret graduated from Jonesboro High. In college she was a music student, majoring in opera at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. An active member of the Jonesboro Nocturne Music Club, she performed in many musicals. She was a member of the Treble Clef Music Club, AAUW, the League of Women Voters of Arkansas, and the Book Club of Jonesboro; and a member of the Episcopal Church. There will be a funeral at 2 p.m., Thursday May 24th in Jonesboro at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with a reception following the service at the church. We would like to thank Dr. Ragland of Jonesboro for his kind counsel and medical care of Margaret for many years, and the wonderful staff at Presbyterian Village Nursing Home.
