Ruby Lee Horton, 78, of Conway, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 21, 2012. She was born July 30, 1933 in Rosebud, Arkansas to the late A.C. and Nellie Mae (Edwards) Johnson. Ruby was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Noah Lee Horton, son, Gary Wayne Horton, and two sisters, Maxine Bostic, and Melba Mae Johnson. Ruby was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was also a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxially Unit 10 of Conway. Ruby was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Horton and Steven Horton (Robbi) both of Conway, two daughters, Susan R. Guy of Jacksonville, Fla., and Janet Bailey (John) of Jacksonville, Ark., two sisters, Thelma Hare of Conway, Brenda Rogers (Bob) of Atlanta, Ga., three brothers, Ronald Johnson (Geneva) of Benton, Ark., Donald Johnson of Perryville, Ark., and Eddie Johnson of Malvern, Ark., grandchildren, Canan and Nathan Horton, Rachael Mosier, Dawn Proctor, Jenny, Noah, and Jennie Horton, Wayne Dickerson, Beth Willcut, Kitty Schultze, Ashley Brown, Nick Stringham, Jacob Guy, and Breanne Guy. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Friday, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501-327-7727), with Pastor John Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Horton, Canan Horton, Nathan Horton, Noah Horton, Wayne Dickerson, and Roger Hare. Steven Horton and Aaron Ritchey will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Missions Dept.
