Charlotte Wacker Wortz

Charlotte Wacker Wortz, 90, of Hot Springs died Saturday May 26, 2012. Charlotte was born November 29, 1921 in Bernice, Louisiana to Ruby Else and Alexander Wacker. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1943 with a BA degree in French and married the late Carl H. Wortz III on June 29, 1943. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Jane Wortz & D.E. Chester of Spring, Texas, one granddaughter, Charlotte Marie and husband Doak C. Procter IV of Bellaire, Texas, two great-grandsons; Carl and Owen Procter of Bellaire, Texas, one sister-in-law, EdDell Wortz of Ft. Smith, Ark. and a cousin, Sara Meeks of Little Rock, Ark. Charlotte was a member of Arkansas Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi, a member of the Service League & Jr. League of Ft Smith. She served on the Red Cross Board of Ft. Smith and was in the AP Chapter of PEO in Hot Springs and many more philantropic organizations. Charlotte enjoyed playing bridge and studying her Bible. Memorial services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church 3819 Central Ave. Hot Springs, Ark. 71913 on Saturday June 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment of remains will be at the First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Smith columbarium. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church 3819 Central Ave. Hot Springs, Ark. 71913 or to the charity of your choice.
