Bobbie Jean Buckley, 74, of Arnold, Mich., formerly of Arkadelphia, died May 21 in Detour, Mich. She was born Jan. 15, 1938 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Joe and Irene Ware. She was a former member of Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia, she later united with New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside, Calif. She was a retired manager of the Army, Air Force, and Navy Exchange at Fort Ord/Monterey, Calif. Survivors include three sons, Charles Jr. of Marina, Calif., Llewellyn Lee (Valerie) Buckley of Livonia, Mich., and Kenneth Wayne Buckley of Brentwood, Calif.; four brothers, James (Cora Lee) Ware of Orlando, Fla., Joe (Sharon) Ware of Maryland Heights, Md., Melvin Ware of Baltimore, Md. and Ocatvious B. (Carrie) Ware of Little Rock; one sister, Jane Ware of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral service will be Friday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at the Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia where Dr. Lewis a. Shepherd Jr. is pastor and Eulogist. Burial will be in Helm Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31 from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
