Lucille "Lucy" Hall Selin was born in Herrin, Illinois on March 7, 1920 to Loren C. and Essie Hall, and died in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 20, 2012 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lt. Col. Frederick Paul Selin "Fritz" and also by their son Frederick P. Selin Jr. and her parents Loren and Essie Hall. Lucy worked as a secretary for a cap and gown company in Champagne, Ill. and as she always said, met and fell in love with her best friend Fritz. With their life in the Air Force, they had many travels and assignments that filled their hearts with lots of friends and memories. Lucy is survived by her brother, Bob E. Hall and wife Coleen, and sister Lavonne Hall Maguire and husband John. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Susan Maguire Vitek and husband Eric, Robin Hall Guadagnini and husband Robert, and Robert A. "Teddy" Hall and wife Lavon. The family would like to thank all of her friends that are too numerous to name, but include George and Sharan McCall, Jan Ward, Retired Pastor Mr. and Mrs. Keith Fox and her health care helper Elana and the staff at the ARC for all the amazing care, love, support, and even grocery store trips, that helped Lucy to live a life she considered to be truly blessed. Lucy is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Selin; brother-in-law, Eric Selin; and various nieces and nephews. Hans Selin, brother-in-law, predeceased her. She filled all of our hearts with love and laughter, and quite a few successes on the golf course and will be missed. A memorial Service will be held at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church Nov. 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the House of Prayer 10226 Ironside Drive, San Antonio, Texas, 78230, or a charity of your choice.
