Gerhard "Jerry" G. Levold

Gerhard (Jerry) Levold, 87, died suddenly but peacefully at home on March 28, 2013. He was born on March 28, 1926 in Garz, Rugen, Germany to the late Helmut and Elise (Schernell) Levold. Gerhard left Germany in 1953 for Canada and relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1957. After several years as a tool and die maker, he worked for 25 years at the General Motors Research Laboratories. He retired in 1988 and he and his wife Anna moved to Hot Springs Village. Gerhard is preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Irmgard Rosenkranz. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anna (Anneliese), his sons: James (Gunter) of Escondido, Ca., and Erwin and his wife Camilla of Ossining N.Y., and his granddaughter, Katrina of Escondido Ca. In honor of his wishes no services are planned. Arrangements entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home.
