Hazel Geneva Peel Whatley, 85, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She was retired from Ft. Roots after 27 years of service and was a member of First Christian Church. She loved music, cooking and pottery. She is survived by her husband, Earl Whatley; daughters, Brenda Hicks (Allen) and Delores Casey (Larry); son, Steven Paul McDonald; grandson, Charles Wayne Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Peel and Emma Lou Sandusky Peel French; granddaughter, Jenifer Marie McQuerry; and her brother, Bobby Eugene French. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
