Loving memory of Freddie B. Johnson Perkins. Freddie's remarkable journey began Feb. 8, 1937. She was born to the parents of Fred and Beatrice Johnson. She was also the oldest of 11 siblings, which include nine daughters and two sons. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Beatrice Johnson; a sister, Pearl Johnson; and a brother, David Earl Johnson. Freddie made her transition on April 8, 2013. Freddie B., as she was fondly referred, completed her official education in Arkansas and later moved to Chicago, Ill. at the age of 17 , where she worked in various positions for the City of Chicago before she retired. Freddie often stated that her major achievement in life was her weighty relationship with God. Anyone that knew Freddie could sense her astounding credence and relationship with "The Lord God Our Savior". She was a member of Jacob Ladder Church of Chicago, Ill. In loving memory, Freddie is cherished by brother, Lott Johnson (Denise) of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters, Mary Montgomery-Sanders and Fredia Johnson of Little Rock, Ark., Garland Johnson Shy of Pine Bluff, Ark., Jean Crump-Beavers and Eldoris Hollins of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sammie Johnson Moore and Audrey Johnson Wrightsell of Chicago, Ill. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., April 13, 2013 at the Gardner's Funeral Home, 2533 West 71st St., Chicago, Ill.
