David Chad Gibbs, 23, of Camden died Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was a beloved son, grandson, fiance, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. Taken from us too soon he leaves behind a loving family, parents, Mark and Tracey Gibbs of Camden and Tina Harrison of Star City; a fiance, Leia Singleton of Camden; one brother, Andrew Bradshaw of Camden; his adopted brother, Lee Hickmont of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Lindsey Bradshaw of Camden and Nichole Bradshaw Flemens of Magnolia; nephew, Canton Phorest Flemens; brother-in-law, John Flemens of Magnolia; grandparents, David and Carolyn Gibbs of Camden, Shorty Eason of Camden and Norman and Marcia Anderson of Hot Springs Village; great-grandparents, Charles and Bernadine Holton and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and his faithful dog, Max. Chad was born Dec. 8, 1989 in El Dorado, Ark. graduating from Camden Fairview High School in 2008 and SAU Tech in Camden in 2012. He found the Lord and was saved and baptized at Grace Baptist Church as a teenager and later attended Immanuel Baptist Church of Camden. After high school Chad attended SAU Tech in Camden and worked at Steel Deals and most recently General Dynamics both in Camden. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a loyal friend, a regular blood donor, devoted to his family many times refering to his father as his role model and he wanted to be just like him, but the light of his life was his fiancé Leia Singleton. Chad knew from the very first date this was the girl he wanted to spend his life with. No words can express our deep sense of loss, nor will time ever fully heal our hearts. We will forever remember his infectious smile, quick wit, and his love of life. We will forever love and miss him and the joy he brought to all of our lives. Funeral services for Chad will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
