W.R. "Billy" Nelson

Funeral services for W.R. "Billy" Nelson, 86, of West Monroe, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Rev. Hugh Nelson and Rev. Tuck Roberts will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Strong Cemetery at 2 p.m., Strong, Arkansas under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Nelson was born October 21, 1926 in Oakland, La. and passed away April 14, 2013 in West Monroe. He was retired from Manville as a wood scaler after 45 years of service. Mr. Nelson was a member of the Crossett Masonic Lodge #576 and he was also a member of OA&G Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Nelson; brothers, Rex Nelson, Bardin Nelson and his mother, Eron Dunn. He is survived by his son; William Ray Nelson II and wife Ellen; brother, Hugh Nelson; grandsons; James Garland Nelson, Christopher Michael Nelson and wife Sarah; great-granddaughter; Katie Nelson; great-grandsons; Luke Nelson and Grant Nelson. Pallbearers will be Toby Danna, Don Plunk, Frank Bandy, Chris Nelson, Patrick Atchison and James Nelson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Cascio.
