Danny G. Wilkins

Danny G. Wilkins, age 59, of Rowell, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home. He was born August 13, 1953 in Pine Bluff, a son of the late Willie (Bill) Wilkins of Redfield and Jean Linn Wilkins McNeer of Sheridan. Mr. Wilkins was a retired employee of Union Pacific Railroad, working for 20 years in Pine Bluff and Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Ennis Masonic Lodge #369 in Texas, and Orion Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Wilkins valiantly fought cancer twice in his lifetime, to lose the battle this third time. Mr. Wilkins is survived by his wife of forty years, Sharon Floyd Wilkins of Rowell; son and daughter-in-law, Brent Wilkins and Meredith of Rowell, daughter and son-in-law, Brandi Wilkins Adair and Daniel of Woodlawn; three brothers, Dennis Wilkins, David Wilkins of Redfield, Daniel Wilkins of Searcy; three grandchildren, Brentlee Wilkins, Cain Wilkins, and Dalton Adair. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Doney Blackerby and Brother Billy Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation is 6: to 8: p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
