Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Karen Yvette Smith, age 49, of Camden Arkansas went to be with The Lord Friday, April 12, 2013 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Karen, affectionately known as Moe-Moe, was born on November 14, 1963 to Master Sergeant Clifton and Yvonne Smith. Prior to her illness, she worked at Lockheed Martin where she loved being with her second family, her coworkers and friends. Passionately known for helping others, Karen dedicated her life to service work in her community. She volunteered with the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Chamber of Commerce and numerous other organizations. She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, thoughtfulness, ability to make others feel special and her kind, tender heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Cedric Smith; and grandparents, Modelle and Hazel Seals and Clara and Willie Mae Smith. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Smith Jr; daughter, Kennicka Lee and husband, June; sons, Clifton Smith and Raymond Smith III; siblings, Renaldo Smith, Schaumetta Jones, LaToya Smith and Clifvonna Johnson. Her greatest joy in life were her granddaughters, Brianna Smith, Madyson Lee and Carmen Smith. Also left to cherish her memory, five nieces and seven nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Greater New Calvary Church of God in Christ with burial following at Good Hope Cemetery.
