Ted Cash Jr.

Francis Theodore "Ted" Cash Jr., 84, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, April 19, 2013. He was born Jan. 2, 1929 in Pine Bluff, son of Francis Theodore Cash Sr. and Katie Coker Cash. Mr. Cash was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1946. He earned his BA and BS from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he was a member of SAE Fraternity and played on the varsity golf team. He served in the United States Army in the 124th AGF Band in Japan. Mr. Cash worked as a salesman for the International Shoe Company from 1951-1982. Ted owned and operated his own shoe store, The Shoe Company, from 1986-1991 in Pine Bluff. Ted was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed family, hunting, golf and bridge. Mr. Cash was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Janet Diekman Cash of Pine Bluff; two sons, Walter Cash and his wife, Terri, of Pine Bluff and Greg Cash and his wife, Kelly, of Cotton Valley, La.; four grandchildren, Chris Cash, Katie Smith and her husband, Payton, Tori Cash and Teddy Cash. A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend David Fleming officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements were handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The family will be at the home of Walter and Terri Cash, No. 3 Longmeadow, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603.
