Joy Risner

Joy Risner, 78, of Conway passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013. She was born on Tuesday, February 12, 1935 in Bee Branch to the late Odas and Alice (French) Mahan.She was a loving wife, mother, gran-gran, sister, and aunt. She always had her home opened for anyone in need. She was known for cooking many meals for her husband's sports teams. She is survived by her sons, James "Boo" Risner (Michele) and James Oaks; daughters, Brenda Phillips (Larry), Mary Ritter (Steve), Debbie Mallett (Doug), and Patricia Driesenga; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Brecheisen, Inez Epperson, and Ruby Ash; brother, John Mahan; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James O. Risner. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Dr. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin Cemetery, Bee Branch with Josh Phillips, Thomas Driesenga, Rodney Driesenga, Wacy Risner, Bady Risner, and Wayd Risner serving as pallbearers.
