Robert "Bob" Gattis

Robert "Bob" Gattis, 78, died April 19 at Ft. Smith. Born March 6, 1935 to parents Bob And Vessie Brown Gattis. Bob graduated from Ft. Smith High School and Texas A&M Univerity and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve as Captain. Bob leaves his wife of 56 years, Mary Margaret Ragon Gattis, and daughter, Julie Jeffcoat, and son, Keith Gattis; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bob was an owner of Ragon Gattis shoe stores in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas, and was an active member of Goddard United Methodist Church and Ft. Smith Rotary Club. He leaves sisters-in-law Betty Ragon of Ft. Smith, and Jan Gattis of Little Rock. Memorials may be made to Goddard United Methodist Church, 1922 Dodson Ave., Ft. Smith, 72901.
