ILA "JOYCE" BUSHART JOHNSON, 65, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2013. Born in Little Rock on Aug. 19, 1947 to the late Venton and Thelma Watkins, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie E. Johnson and her sister, Janice Anspach. Joyce was a loving and compassionate mother, sister and grandmother. She never met a stranger. She loved Bible study, animals, travel, theater, and working in her yard, but she loved spending time with her grandchildren the most. She was a retired hairdresser, having owned her own salon for more than 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Bushart Benegar (Ted); son, James Bushart; sister, Marilyn Sandusky (Jim); brother-in-law, Norman Anspach; and three grandchildren, Cody Benegar, Sara Benegar and Anna Grace Benegar, all of Little Rock. A service in remembrance of Joyce will be held on Monday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
