MADGE AMELIA HOLLAND HAMILTON, of Jacksonville, at the age of 86 years, 362 days young, crossed the River Jordan to be with her Savior on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013. She was born in Waterproof, La. on Aug. 5, 1926 to the late Grover and Mary Eliza Douglas Holland. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Grover Sr., Ralph, David and Franklin Holland; two sisters, Evelyn Nesbitt and Jane St. John; son-in-law, Gary Lee Burke. She leaves behind to meet them once again at the Pearly Gates her husband of 65 years, Harry Hamilton of Clinton, Ark.; daughter, Amelia Ann Hamilton Burke of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mary Martha Buckles and Carrie Louise "Ting" Holland, both of North Little Rock; many beloved nieces, nephews and a host of good friends. Madge was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Ark. She had an awesome love for the Lord and enjoyed reading His daily word as she sipped her morning coffee. She loved His creation, her family, gardening, Bluegrass and Gospel music. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Tim Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum.
