Charles D. Evans

Charles D. Evans, age 70, of Ward went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Aug. 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife Nancy Evans of Ward; two sons, Scott (Karen) Evans of Ward, Greg (Mandy) Evans of Ward; four grandchildren, Brandon, Sydney, Alayna, Ainslee; one sister, Lauretta (Jackie) Tedford of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dennis and Lorene Evans of Austin. He was one of the founding members of the Central Arkansas Horse Show Association; president of the Cabot Riding Club; a member of the Arkansas State Fair Board. He owned Evans Construction for 35 years; he and Nancy founded Evans Nursery in 1995. He was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church. He currently served as a Justice of the Peace for Lonoke County. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at The Chapel at Westbrook Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.
