Freda Jewel Reddig

Freda Jewel Reddig, 91, of Benton passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 in Bryant. She was born May 22, 1922 in Oppelo, Ark. to the late Henry and Hattie Ray Chastain. She was in cancer research at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church and the Joy Group Sunday School Class. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Reddig; one brother, Loyce Chastain; three sisters, Bertha Graves, Edna Taylor and Nell Thomas. Survivors include one son, Gary Reddig of Benton; one sister, Flora Mae Brazil (Bill) of Benton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) in Benton with Rev. Brian Moore officiating.
