Ruth Southerland Martin

Ruth Southerland Martin, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013. Ruth was born on Jan. 12, 1925, in Wilburn, Ark. to Sam and Creacy Southerland. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ernest Martin; her parents; five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by daughter, Faye Babb (Tom); grandson, John Babb; granddaughter, Heather Blanton (Matt); brother, Clinton Southerland (Mildred), sister Naomi Stratton (Jim). Visitation is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Roosevelt Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. She will be buried next to Ernest in Roosevelt Cemetery.
