Ida Jewell Staggs Sutton, 82, of Perryville, formally of Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in Perryville. She was born on October 8, 1930 in Keo, Arkansas to the late Charles and Margareta Staggs. She was the youngest of four children. She married Harry M. Sutton in Little Rock, Ark. on September 9, 1950. They had 4 children. She graduated from Mabelvale High School and cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for 60 years in Little Rock. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning and was a wonderful cook. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, had many life-long friends, and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margareta Staggs, her husband, Harry M. Sutton, her son, Russell Sutton, two brothers, Chester and Charlie Staggs, and one sister, Margaret Staggs Knoedl Elledge. Ida will be remembered by her loving children: Richard Sutton (Jeanie) of Perryville, Daniel Sutton of Brookland, Ark., Tina McDonald of Bigelow; five grandchildren, Jason Sutton (Mariel) of Tampa, Fla., Misty McCollum (Dave) of Bigelow, Felisha Weaver (Bryan) of Thornburg, Tara Price (Allen) of Bigelow, Gabe McDonald of Bigelow, and Matthew Sutton. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren, Noah, Daizy, Dawson and Emma Grace McCollum of Bigelow, and Madison Vining of Thornburg. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 8, from 6-8 pm at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock. A graveside service will be on Friday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
