HELEN VIRGINIA (WILLIAMS) PRITCHARD, 85, of Benton, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Hospice Home Care Inpatient facility. She was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Banks, Ark., a daughter of the late Elbert and Mattie Williams. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters; Helen celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary with her late husband Eugene E. "Gene" Pritchard" on her passing (8/6/1949). She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock; and had recently attended Sharon Baptist Church in Benton. Helen (known by most as "Mam Maw") retired after 33 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone as a long distance operator; and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Family get togethers were her favorite events. She really enjoyed trips to the family condo in Hot Springs, where she spent time with the grandchildren and always treated the family to her famous home-made ice cream. She was a Hog fan, and enjoyed listening and watching Razorback sports. Survivors are her daughters, Susan Youngblood (Kevin) of Hamburg, Beverly Ault of Little Rock; grandchildren, Austen (Stephine), Collin and Hampton (Tansil) Hudson, Sam and Josh Ault, Taylor and Jordan Youngblood; great-grandchildren, Alayna and Caleb Hudson; and a number of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Monday, at Griffin Leggett with Jerry Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Arkansas.
