Robert Paul Swink

Robert "Bob" Paul Swink, Sr., 87, of Newport departed this life Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was born August 13, 1926 to Robert Boyce and Tura Bowden Swink. He was a member of Holden Avenue Church of Christ and enjoyed reading the Bible and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Donald Edwards, one granddaughter, and one brother; Parnell Swink. His survivors are his wife; Shirley Swink of Newport, three sons; Bobby Swink (Linda) of Tuckerman, Roger Swink, and Steven Edwards (Linda) of Cave City, two daughters; Betty Hutchison of Bald Knob and Julie Hall of Bono, one sister; Evelyn Wilson of Genesee, Michigan, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Holden Avenue Church of Christ. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013.
