Edward Garrett

EDWARD GARRETT, age 82, of Sherwood passed away Aug. 17, 2013. He was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was a member of North Side Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock. He graduated from the school of hard knocks and loved to make people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Garrett and Della Briggs-Garrett, his first wife, Estelle Garrett, two brothers Billy and Richard Garrett, and three sisters Juanita Clark, Jerry Burris, and Carolyn Smith. He is survived by his wife Dorean Green-Garrett, two sons Wesley (P.J.) Garrett of Mayflower, Jeff (Vicki) Garrett of Benton, one daughter Donna Garrett-McGhee of Hot Springs, and one brother, Tommy (Mary) Garrett of Sherwood. Six grand-children, Jodie Garrett-Sumlin, Stephanie Garrett-Hester, Christina Garrett, Brittney McGhee, Rachel McGhee, and Raymond (Trey) McGhee. Two great-grandchildren, Robert Garrett and Gabriel Sumlin. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 19th, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock. Funeral Services will be at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20th, 2013 with Pastor Dave Cypert officiating.
