Jowel "Joe" Lathan Barnes, 85 of Lonoke, died on August 19, 2013. He is survived by his children Barbara Monroe, Douglas Barnes and Terry Barnes all of Lonoke, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings Pete Barnes of Missouri, Lin Barnes of North Little Rock, and Earlean Mancell of Lonoke. He is preceded in death by his wife Etta Christine and one grandchild. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
