Billy Mac Sanders

Billy Mac Sanders, 80, of McRae passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at White County Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1933 to the late William Hartsell Sanders and Verna Hill Sanders of McRae, Arkansas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Garner. A retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer and served in the Korean War and also in the Vietnam War. As a civilian he retired as a food inspector for the USDA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Sanders; one granddaughter, Sonya Marie Pruitt. He is survived by his second wife, Betty of Beebe and her six children; two sons, Mac Sanders (Rita) of Biloxi, Mississippi and Sam Sanders (Tammy) of Beebe, Arkansas; two daughters, Marianne Pruitt (Joel) of McRae, Arkansas and Connie Harris (John) of Ward, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; one special sister, Lanelle Luzzi; two sister in-laws, Patsy Moffitt (Clayton) and Francis Gabe; one brother in-law, Charles Gabe (Betty). Visitation will be Sunday, August 25th from 4-6 p.m. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, August 26th at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial following at Antioch Cemetery.
