Emma L. Strange

Mrs. Emma Strange, age 79, of Cabot, died Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2013. She was born Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1934, in Wingo, Ky., to Troy and Hattie Louise Hopkins. She was the oldest of six children. She attended Fulgham High School in Fulgham, Ky., graduating in 1953. She met her husband, Carl Strange, of 60 years in Fulton, Ky. and was a proud military wife of 21 years, supporting her husband and family. She enjoyed sewing, spending several years as a seamstress to an elite boutique in Tucson, Ariz. Emma was a wonderful cook and Thanksgiving was her favorite meal to prepare. In addition to her husband Carl, Mrs. Strange is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Strange of Fort Worth, Texas and Kacee (Strange) Vojdani of Rogers; three grandchildren, Tara Carmical, Andrew Carmical and Lucas Raney and one great-grandchild, Jaelynn Carmical. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki (Strange) Carmical; her parents, Troy and Hattie Louise Hopkins; and brothers, Willis Hopkins and Junior Hopkins.
