James Paul "Jimmy" Miles Sr.

James Paul "Jimmy" Miles Sr., 69, of McGehee, Ark. died Nov. 28, 2013. James was born in Subiaco, Ark. on May 15, 1944 to the late Charles F. and Rachel Savannah Spicer Miles. James was a retired farmer who received the Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year Award in 1968 and the Farm Family of the Year Award in 1969. He loved his family and friends and loved being outdoors and hunting. James also enjoyed cooking and watching western movies. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Miles and sister, Nelda C. Strecker. Survivors include his sons, James Paul "JP" Miles Jr. and wife, Dana of McGehee, Ark. and Randall Scott Miles of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, George W. Miles, Larry D. Miles Sr., and Gary N. Miles Sr., all of McGehee, Ark.; sisters, Jean Trusty Kunz of Little Rock, Ark., Eloise Trusty of Dardanelle, Ark., Betty Lou Tabor of McGhee, Ark.; grandchildren, Shelby Miles, Dane Miles and Scott Miles. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at First Baptist Church of McGehee, Ark. with Dr. Ed Balducci and Rev. Will Choate officiating. Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery.
