Vernon Hicks Hunter

Vernon Hicks Hunter, age 73, of Morrilton, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. He was born February 5, 1940 in Morrilton, a son of Coy Hunter and Neta Hicks Hunter. He served in the Army National Guard and retired from Green Bay Packing after thirty seven years of service. He was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Chasteen Hunter of Morrilton; son, Doug Hunter and wife Janice of Morrilton; daughter, Tracy Parker and husband Vance of Russellville; sister, Sherry McNalty and husband Russ of McLeansboro, Illinois; step son, Kyle Rose and wife Christy of Denton, Texas; step daughter, Allison Jones and husband Curtis of Morrilton; ten grandchildren, Celeste, Jada, Owen, Christian, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Preston, and Cayden, Emilee and Blaine. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dixie Terry Hunter, and granddaughter, Lydia Parker. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at the Downtown Church of Christ with Mr. Randy Rankin officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
