Norman Lee Tollett

Norman Lee Tollett died December 4, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alliie Amelia (Freeman) Tollett; his children: Charles Henry Tollett and his wife, Sherry of Collierville, Tenn.; Herman Lee Tollett and his wife, Suzanne, of Conway, Ark.; William D. Tollett and his wife, Rhonda, of Bryant, Ark.; Robert Loran Tollett and his wife, Candy, of Holiday Island, Ark.; Paul Steven Tollett of Sherwood, Ark. and his daughter, Cheryl Ann Tollett of North Little Rock, Ark., one brother and his wife, Leo and Maxine Tollett of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Sally Tollett Cornish of Nashville, Ark.; nine grandchildren: David Tollett of Collierville, Tenn., Joshua N. Tollett (Laura) of Ft. Smith, Ark., Hunter Tollett of Conway, Ark., Rachel Tollett Fried (Bob) of Chicago, Ill., William Andrew Tollett of Harrison, Ark., Renee Tollett Snow of Holiday Island, Ark., Merika Tollett McDonald (Stephen) of Rogers, Ark., Caleb Tollett of Holiday Island, Ark., Kyla Tollett of Holiday Island, Ark., three great-grandchildren; Dakota and Steven Snow of Holiday Island, Ark., Elijah McDonald of Rogers, Ark., numerous nieces and nephews and family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Derotha Hooker Tollett of Nashville, Ark., brothers: Thomas Oran Tollett of Benton, Ark., J.E. Tollett of Nashville, Ark., and Harold Tollett of Jacksonville, Ark. and a daughter in law, Debbie Tollett of Sherwood, Ark. Born October 9, 1923 he was raised in Nashville and graduated from Nashville High School, Nashville, Ark. He later attended Draugh's Business College in Little Rock, Ark. Mr. Tollett served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater as well as the Korean War in South Korea with the rank of sergeant. After serving with United States Army, Mr. Tollett work for 30 years and retired with International Harvester Company, Little Rock, Ark. and an additional 10 years with J.B. Cook Automotive, Little Rock, Ark. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas designated to their Food Pantry. A funeral service was held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church, Little Rock, Ark. with family and friends viewing from 11-1 p.m. under the direction of Arkansas Funeral Care, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Service to follow at 1 p.m. with burial at Forrest Hills Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.
