Carl Andrew Roberts of North Little Rock, Arkansas was born November 21, 1937 in Cabot, Arkansas, and passed away on December 6, 2013. Remaining to honor his memory are his wife of 54 years, Linda Ann Hendrickson Roberts, of North Little Rock; two sons, Michael Lawrence Roberts and wife Deidre; Steven Carl Roberts and wife Sherri; four grandchildren, Avery Joanna Roberts, Michala Joy Roberts, Abby Lynn Roberts, and William Andrew Roberts; three siblings, Laura Roberts Epps, Donald Roberts, and Thomas Roberts; and many loving family members and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, William Roberts and Sylvia Emmerling Roberts and one brother Edgar Roberts. Carl was a banker in Little Rock for 50 years, starting at Union National Bank and finishing his career as a Senior Vice President of Metropolitan National Bank. He held a masters degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, Southern Methodist University. His avocation and calling was to serve as a church musician. From the age of 11 to just a few years before his passing, Carl served as a church organist and/or choir director, most notably at Western Hills United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Carl also enjoyed engaging in projects around the house and was constantly building, renovating, and creating. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Little Rock with a reception following.
