Charles Eugene (Gene) Gooch

Charles Eugene (Gene) Gooch, of Brandon, Miss., died on Monday, December 9, 2013. He was born December 18, 1942 in Yazoo City, Miss. He was a long time resident of Yazoo City and worked in the lumber business for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Foran Gooch. Also surviving are his sister Rose Claire (Gary) Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, his brother Stephen Lawrence (Gail) Gooch of Austin, Texas and his brother Dennis Hunley (Phyllis) Gooch of Memphis, Tennessee. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Donald Foran and Ray (Linda) of Marvell, Ark., his sister in laws Jean (Larry) Everhart of Austin, Atk. and Linda (Hal) Parker of Bolton, Miss. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Gooch, Jr. and Helen Young Gooch of Yazoo City. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Joy and husband Burley Smith of Yazoo City and by his brother-in-law, Terry Foran of Texarkana, Texas. The visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Miss. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the Turner Cemetery, in Turner, Ark. Friends are welcome to come to the Foran family home following the graveside service.
