Jan Whitmore Alter

Jan Whitmore Alter, 65 of Little Rock passed away December 9, 2013. She was born in DeWitt, Ark., September 26, 1948 in the clinic above Hampton Drug Company. Jan is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Thelma Whitmore and is survived by her two daughters, Shell Wilburn Cameron and her husband John Cameron of North Little Rock and Brie Alter & her husband Matthew Duvall of North Little Rock; her sister, Robin Maddox Dean and brother-in-law Gary Dean of North Little Rock; her brother, Kirk Whitmore and sister-in-law Mary Nell Whitmore of St. Charles, Ark.; and many nieces & nephews. Jan was a long time employee of DeWitt Bank & Trust and a life-time member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, growing things, and cross-stitching, but she LOVED Razorback Basketball, the White River Prairie, and all homeless animals.
