William Kimbrough Manning, 87, of Conway passed from this life on December 10, 2013. He was born on June 26, 1926 to the late Kenneth Leander and Beatrice (Smith) Manning in Red Hill, Ark. Kimbrough was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, served as Superintendent for Vilonia and Mt. Vernon School Districts, served in World War II in the United States Marine's, and truly loved spending time with his family. He received his Masters in Education from the University of Arkansas, and attended Arkansas State Teachers College where he earned his bachelor's degree. Kimbrough is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Singleton Rice Manning , children; Deborah Diane Almond (Jerry) of Conway, Denisce Darlene Warren (Michael) of Conway, William Kimbrough Manning II (Debbi) of Vilonia, Greg Rice (Sybil) of Texarkana, Texas, Sandy Rice Brewer (Mark) of Conway, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Covington Manning, one brother; Robert Marlan Manning, and one sister; Burnell Chissoe Choate. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark. with burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Shannon Keith Almond, Nathan Almond, Marcus Allen Brewer, Jason Almond, David Thomas Pearce, and William Kimbrough Manning II will serve as Pallbearers.
