Martha Smith Maloch

Martha Smith Maloch, 83 of Magnolia, Ark. died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at her home in Magnolia. Martha was born March 24, 1930 in Senatobia, Miss. to the late William Robert Smith Sr. and Martha Lena (Dandridge) Smith. She was a member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ and the owner of the Spudnut Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ned Dwight Maloch, daughter, Susan Maloch, and brothers, Robert Smith Jr. and Wilburn Smith. Martha is survived by her sons, Dwight Maloch and wife June of Magnolia, David Maloch and wife Angie of Bentonville; granddaughters, Kelsey Maloch of Searcy, Marenda Maloch and Hannah Maloch both of Magnolia, Haley Mitchell of El Dorado, and Kelly Mitchell-Colvin of Shreveport, La.; grandsons, Thomas Maloch and Mason Maloch both of Magnolia, Dalton Maloch of Bentonville, Tim Thomas of St. Amant, La., Jeff King of Magnolia.; and daughter-in-love, Brenda King of Magnolia. Visitation will be Friday, December 13 at Lewis Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at Lewis Chapel with David Lovejoy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Pallbearers will be Eddie Scott Epperson, Steve Chambers, Billy Don Olson, Ron Stovall, Joe Don Nix, and Hays McWhirter. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Antoon, Larry Clark, and Randy Maness. Memorial donations may be made to CCAPS (Columbia County Animal Protection Society), P.O. Box 2003, Magnolia, Ark. 71754. The family would like to thank Dr. Matt Barnett, Lisa Beard, and Serenity Hospice for their kind and compassionate care they provided to Martha and her family.
