Dorothy Modean Davis

DOROTHY MODEAN DAVIS, 85, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. She was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her kindness and generosity of spirit was appreciated by all who knew her. Mrs. Davis was a home maker and wife to her caring husband, Ray Davis and her three daughters. Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Ray Davis of Little Rock; daughter, Patricia Ann Akincilar; and her brother, Virgil, Alfred and Quinn Armstrong. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Droke and husband, Alan of Maumelle and Elizabeth Kaye Davis of Santa Monica, Calif.; grandchildren, Melanie Long and husband John; Liz Rummer and husband Russell; Leyla Akincilar; Kaplan Akincilar and his son, Dorothy's great-grandson, Seraphin; and many other relatives and friends who love her. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, with the Reverend Paul McClung officiating. Burial will follow in Martinville Cemetery at Damascus.
