Jerry Ray Roberson

Jerry Ray Roberson died December 16, 2013 in Conway, Arkansas. He was born January 16, 1920 in Cleveland, Arkansas. He was the son of William Jerry Roberson and Emma Clementine Scoggins. Mr. Roberson was a 1940 member of the CCC. He served during WWII with the 150th Infantry, Company F, US Army. He was a chicken and cattle farmer, and retired Lion Oil tank truck driver. He was a lifetime member of Cleveland Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marie Boyle Roberson and daughter, Carol Ann Roberson Gates Stone. Brother, Jesse Lay Roberson and sister, Stincy Dee Roberson Scroggins. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Sue Szurgot (Larry) of Benton, and Sharon Ray Hardin (Doug) of Conway, and son, William David Roberson (Diane) of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Lisa Leach, Stacie Wickliffe, Robyn Payne, Winfred Gates, Allyson Irom and Jay Hardin. Twelve great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday, December 19, at Harris Chapel with Dr. Brian Atra officiating.
