Dad was a lifelong member and Associate Pastor of Northside Pentecostal Church. Dad was a career railroad employee and retired from Rock Island and Union Pacific Railroad. Throughout his career he was promoted to various management positions and worked in several states. Dad was a very successful real estate investor, operating under R & V Realty in which he was the co-owner. Dad was a true man of God and left behind a great example of how a man should live. He loved his God, his church, and his family. He was a wonderful husband and the absolute greatest at just being "Dad" or "Grandpa". He was never too busy to help, to listen, or to do whatever anyone had need of. There are not enough words to adequately describe the many wonderful qualities he had. He excelled in always being kind, compassionate, forgiving, patient, and understanding. Dad was a true friend to all and those who knew him were richly blessed.
