NORA NITA STILLMAN, age 93, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, with her loving family by her side. She was born May 5, 1920, in Schayberg, Ark. to Ben and Alta Osburn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred Stillman, her parents, her sisters, Niece Osburn and Ethel Gibbs, and her brothers, Ernest and Burl Osburn. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a homemaker and retired from the Pulaski County School District as a cook at Baker School. She also played the guitar and sang at the Assembly of God church at Ferndale, Arkansas, for many years. Nora loved to stay busy and had many hobbies. She hand sewed all kinds of dolls, rabbits, and sock monkeys. Her specialty was Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. She loved to play her guitar and sing. She was always proud when her children and grandchildren would play at churches or nursing homes and loved it when they came by her house, so she could play music with them. She loved to cook and would always ask visitors to stay and eat. She loved to be outside whether it was to work in the garden, pick poke sallet, or just sit on the patio with her family. She also loved gardening, quilting, reading, and was a very talented poem writer. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters: Norma Lou Farnam (James-deceased), Carron Lee White (Owen), Beverly Joan Bailey, and Cynthia LaDon Maxhiemer, all of Little Rock, Ark.; one son, Rick Stillman (Tanya), of Maumelle, Ark.; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. We would like to say a special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and the staff of Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent Hospital who cared for our mother, and to the staff at Briarwood Rehabilitation, we say thank you for the love and care you gave our mom so many times. Pallbearers will be Fred Farnam, Kevin Bailey, Owen R. White II, Greg White, Chris Stillman, and Dylan Goforth.
