Linda Nixon

Linda Nixon, age 75, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 23, 2013. She was born December 10, 1938 in Bald Knob to the late Clenis (Buster) and Zelda Guthrie. She was an active member of Judsonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who also had worked several years at the Bald Knob and Judsonia flower shops. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Wardell Nixon. Linda is survived by her son Darrell Nixon and wife Pam; two daughters, Debbie Nixon and Diane Nixon all of Judsonia; three grandchildren, April Powell and husband Brian, Kyle Nixon, Leslie Weeks and husband Jacob; two sisters, Ruth Hamilton and husband Jimmy, Jeanette Morehead and husband Jim; and a large extended family and many beloved friends. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2013, 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with Bro. Mark Osgatharp and Bro. Roger Daugherty officiating. Interment will follow in Fredonia Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
