Shirley Earnestine Hardy

Shirley Earnestine Hardy, born December 18, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. departed this life on December 26, 2013. Shirley is preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Lee Oldham, her parents William Amos and Mattie Marie Ward, 3 brothers William (Bill) Laverne, Raymond Amos and Richard Michael (Mick) and one sister Imogene (Jeannie) Christine Mueller. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Homer Ray Hardy. Daughters Linda McCraw (Rick) of North Little Rock, Debbie Hardy (David Pool) of Little Rock, Dawn Hardy (DJ) of Ft. Smith and one son Freddie Hardy (Cindy) of Bryant, Ark., 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Lois Mitchum of Pontoon Beach, Ill. and Kay Wiedeman of Madison, Ill., numerous family members, friends and the many children that came to know her as Momma Hardy. Officiating her service will be Rev. Bob Moore of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Visitation will be Sunday, December 29, 2013, 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock. Internment immediately following at Rest Hills Cemetery. The family of Shirley would like to express our sincere thanks to Ark. Hospice for their support and care of our beloved wife and mother during the last few months of her life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ark. Hospice.
