Margaret Elizabeth (Liz) Clinton Little, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., was born March 13, 1944, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Janet and Roy Clinton Sr. She passed away Dec. 26, 2013, at St. Joseph's/Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs. Liz graduated from Hot Springs High School and the University of Arkansas, earning a bachelor's degree in Communications and a Master of Arts in Speech and Drama. She was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Liz put her outstanding marketing, organization, and communications skills into her career, including her work with the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, the Harold Ives Trucking Company, and the UAMS Clinical Skills Center's Standardized Patient Program. Liz was foremost a dedicated homemaker and talented cook. In addition to sharing her boundless love, energy, humor, and caring with her family and extended family, she also shared the same through years of giving back to her community as a volunteer for many organizations and causes. Liz was most proud of her service to the Junior League of Little Rock and the Arkansas Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where she was chairman of the board of trustees. She was also honored with the Jay Randall Award for her dedication to the UAMS Standardized Patient Program. Liz also served as a deacon for Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. Liz was predeceased by her parents and her son, Clinton Ward Burks. She is survived by her husband, Gene Little, of Hot Springs Village; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Eric Briggs and granddaughter, Janet Elizabeth Briggs, of Nashville, Tenn.; her father-in-law, Ron Little, of Hot Springs Village; and her brothers and their wives, Roy Jr. and Butch Clinton of Fayetteville, Dan and Joan Clinton of Hot Springs, and Bo and Sissy Clinton of Little Rock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her forever as "A.L." The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Liz's lifelong home church, the First Presbyterian Church, 213 Whittington Avenue, Hot Springs.
