Agnes Adair

Mrs. Agnes Stone Adair, 95, of Searcy went home to be with her Savior on January 30, 2013. She was born October 9, 1917 in Hamburg to Jackson Van Buren Stone and Anna Riley Stone. She was a resident of Searcy for the past 14 years and a former resident of Snyder for many years. She was a homemaker and she was a woman of great faith with a servant's heart. She taught children's Sunday School at Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder for over 40 years where she and her husband, Thomas, were faithful members. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy where she was a member of a special Sunday School class, the Mary Class. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Thomas Franklin Adair and her parents. She is survived by a daughter, Sue Bailey and husband, Ed; a grandson, Bill Bailey and wife, Stacy; two great grandchildren, Emme Adair Bailey and William Jay Bailey all of Searcy; five very special relatives, Frankie Sumner, Linda Shiver, Buddy Barnes, Nancy Howard and Judy Moyers. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Wallace and Rev Tim Noel officiating. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brad Shiver, Derrick Douthit, Brian Stone, Charles Glen Stone, John Howard, George Moyers, Jesse Hathcote and Jeff Carpenter. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday.
