James Russell Spivey

James Russell Spivey, 55, of Southhaven, Mississippi, passed away January 29, 2013. He was born February 4, 1957 to Mackey and Ester Spivey. James was retired from the United States Air Force, serving twice in Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father, Mackey Spivey. Survivors, wife, Margaret (Maggie) Spivey of Southhaven, Mississippi, sons, Bryson Spivey of Benton, Richard Guice of Woodlands, Texas, daughters, Nikki Spivey of Benton and Stephaine Turley of Conway, brother, Mike Spivey of Benton, mother, Ester Louise Spivey of Benton and his beloved dog, Shasta. Graveside Memorial Services will be held by Ashby Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Jay Jacobs officiating at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home, Sunday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Family comments: James was a very loving, good hearted man, who loved to make any situation, no matter how bad, into a laughable, bearable one. He saw the good in everyone and everything. James loved all animals and going fishing with his buddies. His favorite pastime was going out to the shooting range and shooting his guns.
