Mary Minta Moseley Sigman

Mary Minta Moseley Sigman went to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice at Mercy Hospital. She was born to Maurice and Arminta Moseley on July 16, 1922 in Prairie View, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her parents; husbands, Robert Brad Sigman and John Herbert (Buddy) Ferrell; and sister, Dorothy Ashmun. Survivors include two sons, John H. (Buddy) Sigman and wife, Linda; Robert Bruce Sigman and wife, Nitalynn; one daughter, Mary Melinda Davis and husband Phillip; and twin sisters, Deanne Brockett and Jeanne McFarlin (Bob). Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. Grandchildren include Melissa Carroll, John Sigman (Kelly), Melinda Kay Cantley (Clint), Will Lee (Angi), Liberty Lee, and Annabel Johnson (Chris). Mary Minta also has nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was an Elder Emeirtus. Other community involvement included being a charter member of the Junior Auxiliary and also the Progressive Club. She did volunteer work at National Park Medical Center. Mary Minta was involved in retail apparel business for many years. She founded the first exclusive maternity and infant wear specialty shop in Hot Springs, the Anticipation Shop. This was followed by a second Anticipation Shop in Fort Smith. She also managed the Ruel Shop. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church on Sunday, February 3. The family will receive guests at 21 Glouchester Court. A very special thanks to the staff at Arkansas Hospice at Mercy Hospital. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.
